I have to confess, bluebells are my all time favourite flowers, and for some reason I have often been asked, “Why Bluebells?”.
Quite simply, they are just beautiful. When I first arrived in Ireland, aged 6, my family and I stayed at my grandparents house in the beautiful country side of Co Tyrone, with it’s sweet rolling hills.
Portglenone Forest Park, Co Antrim
It was about May time, and right beside my Grandmother’s house was a beautiful glade covered in bluebells! It looked like a home fit for faeries, and I often spent long hours searching for faeries amongst the ferns, mosses and the bluebells.
The Blue Bell
The blue bell is the sweetest flower
That waves in summer air
Its blossoms have the mightiest power
To soothe my spirit’s careby Emily Jane Brontë
I never did find any faeries, but that was because I made too much noise in my searching, or so my Gran said.
I started making clothes in SL in May 2007, just when the bluebells were in full bloom at Portglenone Forest, not far from where I live now. So Thinking up a name for my business was not difficult. After a few false starts, I finally opened for business my main shop has is located on the beautiful Skybeam Tradewinds sim, just the right location for Bluebells to grow.
I sell a small collection of Equestrian Outfits for both Ladies and Gentlemen at Equestrian and at Carriage House in Caledon Eyre.
